Raspberry leaf tea can be used as an astringent on irritated or inflamed skin because it tightens the top layers of skin, essentially not only firming the skin, but also decreasing secretions, and alleviating irritation. Raspberry Leaf Tea is simple to make. Just create an infusion by combining 1 pint of boiling water with 1 ounce of the dried raspberry leaves. The infusion is often consumed cold and can provide quick relief for a variety of stomach, mouth, and throat issues. Sometimes raspberry leaf is also combined with powdered slippery elm bark in order to create a poultice which can then be used to treat burns and other skin wounds and irritations.
